WOMAN’S CLUB OF MORRISTOWN SEEKS RUMMAGE SALE ITEMS
The Woman's Club of Morristown is accepting donations of new or gently used merchandise for its annual Rummage Sale, to be held August 24 through 26. Of particular interest are adult and children’s clothing and accessories; jewelry; house wares; small appliances and lamps; artwork; antique, vintage, and collectible items; linens; toys; giftable items; hardware; and holiday items. These articles will remain useful while aiding a variety of charitable activities. The Rummage Sale is the WCM’s largest fundraiser. At the end of each year’s sale, all unsold merchandise is donated to other charities, requiring the WCM to constantly seek new inventory.
Items should be clean, undamaged, complete, and in working order. The Woman’s Club is unable to accept large furniture, electronic devices, televisions, or books. Items may be left in the butler’s pantry of the Woman's Club at 51 South Street, Morristown, during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, between now and August 1. Donors may pick up a form acknowledging their donation for tax purposes in the pantry. The WCM is a 501(c)(3) organization. All of the sale's proceeds support the Club's operations and its many charitable programs throughout the community such as its scholarship program for Morristown High School senior girls.
The members of the Woman’s Club of Morristown are dedicated to serving their community through civic, cultural, and educational projects. The group works closely with the NJ State Federation of Women’s Clubs and the General Federation of Women’s Clubs. The Club is a non-profit, non-political, non-sectarian organization whose purpose is to promote improvements within its community, to offer civic and cultural activities, and to preserve the Dr. Lewis Condict House.
