We have finally been able to "plan ahead" and we sincerely hope this 'earlier announcement' will allow more of you to participate in the lunch bunch programs.Please share this memo with members who don't have access to e-mail.


October 2 - Lunch at the Atrium's Matilda's Cafe.  -  Filled


October 30 - Friday, 1:00

Lunch at the new South Street restaurant callled "South and Pine". It's right next door to the MPAC theatre,(ie the Community theater), and across from the Morristown Library.  Park at the club, at a meter on the street  or at the Library.  It is to the Library that we will "travel" after lunch.  Please read the article from the Morristown News that I have taken liberty to copy for you...Anyone who has lived in/near Morristown will certainly enjoy and learn much by spending a few moments (or an hour or two) examining this very professional exhibit.  Strongly recommended.


November 15, Sunday, 2:00

Bickford Theatre at the Morris Museum to see the stage performance of "The Queen of Bingo". In the tradition of Harvey Korman and Tim Conway sketches from the old Carol Burnett Shows comes this hilarious stage comedy where 'Sis' and 'Babe', two sisters on the other side of 50, want to add a little fun and excitement to their lives...but where to find it?  AT BINGO!  The audience joins in the fun during the ''Middle Bird Special" - a real Bingo game where some lucky audience member wins a FREE frozen turkey at every performance." $35.00 (Museum members and Seniors) (Your check, by Nov. 21, will confirm your reservation).

Bickford Theatre at the Morris Museum to attend a concert by Thomas Pandolfi called Chopin - Shaken not Stirred

"Piano virtuoso, Thomas Pandolfi, returns with an encore concert featuring his famous James Bond Concerto, a salute to the movie themes of James Bond and the masterful piano compositions of Chopin and Addinsell's Warsaw Concerto".   (How about a trip to Friendly's for an ice cream after the concert?) $35.00 (Museum Members and Seniors) (Your check, by Nov 15, will confirm your reservation.)


On December 12, Frank Sinatra, would, if he had "His" Way, will be 100 years old and many the enteratinment centers in the area are celebrating the event.  I hope that you will approve our way of highlighting the birthday.


December 3, Thursday 2:00pm  - the movie, High Society, 4:45pm - dinner at Provesi, located across from the Club, 7:00pm - the movie, Manchurian Candidate A "double feature" (as in days of "old") of two great movies both starring Frankie! to be held at the Morristown  Library.  The will be no charge for the movies and the cost of dinner has yet to be determined but menu prices will probably prevail. If you are interested, let me know as soon as possible so that the Library and the Restaurant can be alerted.                                        


December 6, 2015, Sunday, 5pm, a bus trip with Morris Township Recreation Dept. "Holiday Light Tour of New York City" A tour of NYC to see the sights all lit up for the Christmas Holidays!  The bus will leave from Town Hall on December 6 at 5pm and return at approximately 9:30pm.  The tour lasts approximately 3 1/2 hours (and the return time will depend upon traffic!) The first stop is at  Ferrar's Bakery for a special treat.  (It is recommended that you eat supper prior to going on the trip.)  A guided tour to Lord & Taylor's to see the windows, up to Lincoln Center and down Fifth Ave. to see the tree and then a stop at Macy's before heading home!

December 13, 2015, Sunday, at 3:00pm at the Bickford Theatre for a holiday concert Holiday Spectacular XIII Join the Morris Choral Society in ushering in the holiday spirit this season.  The concert will feature a collection of familiar musical treasures and choral gems. Work by Rutter Busto and Rachmaninoff are sure to delight.  The concert will conclude with sin-along selections. $20.00  (Museum members and Seniors)
