Community Services

The Community Services group works on a variety of charitable projects based in the community. The Community Services group meets monthly (September - December and February - June) on the first Monday of each month at 10:00 am in the Clubhouse.  In case of a major holiday, the Community Services group meeting will be moved to the second Monday.

Seamen's
Institute


Provides a variety of services to men and women responsible for moving goods around the world. Donations included knitted and  crocheted items as well as monetary support for their Christmas At Sea  project.


Deirdre's
House

Center named in honor of Deirdre O'Brien to support children who have suffered abuse,  neglect and/or witnessed violence.  Donations range from financial support to snacks and food to individual and family gifts for the annual Holiday Giving Tree.

Neighborhood House

Provides after school education, activities, and meals for children as well as ESL, job search, and training classes for adults. Donations based on particular needs.


Family
Promise

Supports over 1,200 individuals each year through shelter, housing, and outreach programs.
Donations include items for previously homeless individuals and families as requested.

Interfaith
Food Pantry

Donations include non-perishable food items, laundry, and cleaning supplies and reusable grocery/tote bags.

Howard's Mission

Distributes food, clothing, and other necessities to the homeless. Donations including clothing, toiletries, and suitcases.

Market Street Mission

Provides programs for homeless and individuals in recovery. Donations including clothing and household goods for their Thrift Store.

Africa Surgery (ASI)

Provides surgical and medical care to the people of Sierra Leone. Donations include surgical supplies, bicycles, sewing machines and notions.
